As our world continues to change, so does the data we use to understand our environment and species. We are also aware that many data gaps still exist regarding the data and information available pertaining to biodiversity and protected and conserved areas within countries.

The CPAG is proud to announce that a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)has been signed by the UWI Centre for Resource Management and Environmental Studies (UWI-CERMES) and the UN Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC)to strengthen and enhance the quality of the Caribbean datasets in the World Database on Protected areas (WDPA), World Database on Other effective Area-Based Conservation measures (WD-OECM) and Global Database on Protected Area Management Effectiveness (GD-PAME) datasets and the analysis, sharing and dissemination of this data.

The goal of this annual review is to share with you some of the program's highlights. This year has been unlike any other, but thanks to great teamwork and the willingness of various stakeholders, we were able to accomplish more than we had anticipated. Thank you to everyone who helped make the program a success this year!
